This I Believe : Smiles and Optimism

Ashley Madelyn say that she thinks that if you smile long enough you become happy. I totally disagree because even though you would like to see the brighter side to a problem and or issue its hard when the person you love or that youb are dear to either let you down or hurt your feelings. Me personally when i'm upset or something Ido not want to smile because there is nothing that is worth smiling over. My mother always tells me that I shouldn't let anyone know that I was mad because that is giving the person that is hurting you exactly what they wanted which was to make you mad. Me frankly, I don't care. I feel as though there is no way smiling when i'm mad or upset or even sad would make me feel better. To be honest it would make me feel worst. I say this because when i'm not in a good mood and someone tries to make me happy again it pisses me off. Just let me blow some steam off before you go and try to play counselor on me. I'm not in the mood so let me be until I am completely ready to talk or to be chilled again but in the meantime allow me to be human and to live.

What teenagers should think about before having sex

Many teens are at risk of getting venereal diseases which is crazy. It is proven that nowadays more and more teenagers are having unprotected sex. But you just don't just develop that behavior on your own people, or somebody had tell you about it or you had to have seen it before within your household or somewhere. Many teenagers do not realize that just because a guy or a girl says I love you doesn't mean that you need to drop your underwear. Love isn't what is in your pants and or in your skirt but what is in the heart. Just because you are a virgin and just because your boyfriend and or girlfriend says that they are a virgin too, doesn't necessarily mean that your losing it to this one particular person doesn't necessarily mean that you are there only that they honestly and truthfully had intercourse with only you and you alone, and you never know what the previous person had and if your boyfriend and or girlfriend won't disclose with you or with your boyfriend and or girlfriend. So before you just act on lust think about what may or may not happen to your body that you may or may not be able to get rid of later. Think before you actually go forth with something such of this matter because what at the moment feels like pleasure might give you hell in the upcoming future.

Broadcasting Different Cultures

Broadcasting many different cultures on television is a no brain er and shouldn't be even a question. But many viewers disagree. Some think that only a certain race should be broad casted because there are more of that race in the world. My point is, there are many other cultures and races. There are more than just one, so there shouldn't be any controversy at all. The world is supposed to have equality and no discrimination. If the television market goes fourth with the decision it would not be right. The article that  has me so into my thoughts is that there is an article called "Broadcasting the Whiteness". It discussed the new controversy show "Girls". It discussed the matter of the reason that there is a broad range of girls, and cultures, and shouldn't discriminate against other races. I also think that this world is filled with numerous cultures, races, and diversities of girls, and need to express that through out television. i also think that more people should say something about it the issue. I mean when i watching television i want to see people who look like me and other people who have their own looks and complexions. I think that television producers should get real on the issue, and also think about what they are getting themselves into with the whole issue.

Gun Fashion

Many think that the new gun holster wear is a nice masterpiece. Me on the other hand totally disagrees. First of all whoever came up with the fashion is an idiot because why on earth would you want these crazy Americans any oppertunity to do anything even more crazier than what they already are capable of. I don't think that that is even setting a great example for the next generation. It is ridiculous. I personally would never wear such a fashion trend. I don't care how much of a trend it is in society. It makes no sence how people can create such fashion. Then people want to complain on how come the world is so crazy. No wonder people create things like this fashion that can trigger (pardon the pun) gun happy or lunatic people to think that doing evil and carrying around a conceiled weapon around is okay, when it is not. Things like this really upsets me, because I know that this world will never get better as in danger wise because people like the makers of the trend starter keep continuosly creating more reasons to keep the world dangerous and an unsafe environment which is not a good thing for the next generation to go through. Although I totally disagree with the whole trend I hope the makers of the product continuosly prosper. Because although I may not agree with the trend and fashion many other people think it is a great idea and fashion trend. But I hope that this new style doesn't create an even bigger mess in the community and the entire world.

Afghan Girls, Scarred , Defy Terror , Embracing School

Many Afghan girls were being attacked because of the simple fact that they were trying to get a decent education. Many of us take our education for granted that we go to school everyday. According to the article a girl by the name of Shamsia Husseini and her sisters got attacked and sprayed in there face because of the fact that they wanted to better themselves and get an education. But many of us do not have to go through that torment and disrespect because we live in American and it is against the law. Many kids have to be forced to attend school and to better themselves, but these Afghan girls want an education and want to better themselves as a person. We take everything for granted because we think that life is a given and that everything should be given to us on a silver platter, and it doesn't work like that everywhere. Remember to take your education seriously and stay in school and never forget to never take life and your education as a joke. Although the Afghan girls were brutally attacked because of the simply fact that they wanted an education that didn't stop them to discontinue their commitment to their school and there learning. Many children need to wake up and realize that not everything is a given to them with just a flick of a snap or when asked many times you have to work your way up in the world in order to even gain as much respect in the business world and when educated you get extremely far in life.

Minneapolis Mom Drops Son at Day Care, Then Returns to Find Triple Murder

According to http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com a women dropped off her son at daycare and when returned she discovered three people shot to death. A mother became very suspicious after seeing a man in a hooded sweatshirt and a glove on one hand on bicycle outside her home. This is a great example of people taking life as a given. Everyday people die unexpectedly and some from natural causes, but we never know when God wants us to go so it is very important to pray everyday for your safe passage throughout your day. The mother and son were very fortunate that they were away from that danger that the rest of her family encountered but she was also unfortunate because she lost her family. Life is way too short to grieve on the past. I'm not saying to just forget about your family but just to keep your shoulders back and your head held high.Many times we are faced with horrific events because God is trying to show us what to watch out for and to be careful where you place your body. This is a message to the mother: I understand that you are going through some hard times in your life and you are grieving but don't let that horrific event hold you down from living your life. Chalk it up as a lesson. Remember to pray everyday for you and your son and it will be okay. I hope the best for you and your son because God saved you and your son for a reason and continue to to pray to God to find out what his great plan is for your life.

Trayvon Martin's Reflection

So I laid down, thinking they would show up later." She never expected February 25 to be her sons' last days on earth. The parents go through grief of the death of their son Trayvon Martin. "I couldn't believe what I was hearing; it just didn't seem real," recalls Fulton, her eyes filling with tears. "And finally I said, 'I need you to go and actually identify his body.' I needed to know if that was my baby, dead." They didn't expect to lose their son so very soon. Life is too short for you to take it for granted. So pray everyday and live life to the fullest. Nowadays people think that just because they lived to see that day in particular that they will make it to see the next. In Trayvon Martins' case he made it to see his last day and he didn't even expect it to be so soon. Even though it might be hard to go through the death of a child in their early age just pray everyday that you will sometime see him again. When you really recap his life you will realize that he is doing so much better now because he isn't living in this crazy twisted life we call the world. And this is my reflection to the whole Trayvon Martin issue.....

For women under 30, most occur outside marriage

The article "For Women Under 30, Most Birth Occur Outside Marriage" reasons that say why less and less people before having children was because some single parents mothers don't want to relive their parents marriage life. Another reason womn under 30 begin having kids before marriage is that more women went to work making marriage lss of financial necessity for them. Anoter reason the article says their not rushing marriage is because a lot of men are dependent and if your going to having a dependent husband you might as well be single and get on with your life. I personally agree with these reasons. I think that less people are marrying before having kids because a lot of the guys in the world don't want to man up after getting women pregnant and these women after a hard breakup make up in there mind that they don't want marriage because they think all guys are just like there previous one and that they are better off by themselves raising there child or children. I dont think that i a good thing that more and more women are having kids outside of marriage but at the same time it takes two to tango she didn't make there child or children by themselves. I think that this quote on quote trend is a bad thing because i am the next generation and i don't want to get pregnant before marriage because I am a christian and I don't think that my parents would encourage me to do that. My parents are still married but I personally d not think it makes a difference whether or not they are in terms of how I was raised. I expect to get married in the future. I also expect to raise a family. And i also expect to see myself waiting until i am married to have children because number one because it is apart of my religion and I don't want to disappoint my family because according to my religion it is still a sin and its not worth disappointing my family.

Childhood Obesity in America

Obesity in America is tremendously increasing. I think that as a parent and or gaurdian you should regulate what your child is eating and how much your child is eating. Nowadays adults don't really care what there child eats and hardly cares how muc of it they do it. In my opinion I feel as though its the parents  responsibility to decide what they eat. According to cbsnews.com obesity has been increasing during the past years when they should be decreasing. There are many ways to slim down like exercising and eatiny the right foods are just two of the main ways to decrease the obesity population and creating a newer and more healthier population. So instead of eating junk food and sitting on the couch and playing video games, watching television and texting grab your bike or skateboard and help create a population of healthy and active.

Snooki is Pregnant?

Omg! Snooki from the show "Jersey Shore" is pregnant and officially exposed the truth with the media. According to cbsnews.com she is two weeks pregnant and the father is Jionni LaVelle, a wrestling coach for children and is persuing a teaching career.Snooki and Jionni plan on getting married and said that they are excited about the news about there new baby.According to dailymail.com Jionni said that they are not going to ruin it.Snooki said she was terrified about the news because she was drinking and even the thought of harming her baby scared her. Her father was highly upset about the news he said "You have your whole life ahead of you." So there you have it, Snooki the "Jersey Shore" tv star is pregnant and is engaged. Who wouldv'e thought...?

Facebook is Using You

Facebook and many other social networking sites are kind of "stalking" you if I may say. According to the article "Facebook is Using You" many social networking sites such as Facebook literally study and analyze your every move in the cyber world. Apparently a lot of people that use social networking sites do not realize that nothing in the cyber world is private. A matter of fact many teens in particular put a lot of there personal information on these sites. In the article "Facebook is Using You" they say that you can denied a job, denied health care, and can even be denied the rights into a college because of the fact you posted interests, hobby's, religion, ethnicity, style of music genre interest , and even political opinions. I think that the next time you decide to create a Facebook or a Twitter think about maybe the repercussions of making it , and ask yourself is that account really that important to be denied of something because of that social networking site...
Just think about it.

"I'm a criminal"

In the article "I'm a criminal" the article was mainly discussing how everyone at one point in there life has committed a crime whether big or small. I totally agree with the publisher Michelle Alexander. She says that she thinks that just because you have done a crime and ended up locked up it doesn't mean that they can take your equality away from you. I think that after the person has been incarcerated they most likely learned there lesson. But don't get me wrong , I don't think that if you were locked up for like rape or murder you shouldn't be allowed to take up jobs like a nurse or a daycare because I would not be able to trust anyone that has committed such crimes and have them around people that can't really stand up for themselves. But as I said before I don't think that government should just take there equality away from them. In the article the writer also says that she disagrees with the fact that the government is being unfair about not having incarcerated inmates not having the same equality as people that weren't incarcerated. I think that is totally discriminative because what if the person that was once in jail were not guilty and it was all a setup or what if the person that was once incarcerated was you,would you want the government to discriminate on you. Just something to think about when thinking about the issue.

The article "Photoshopped or Not? A tool to Tell" was about how many celebrities and models most of the time edit/photoshop their photos and that Dr. Farid and Eric Kee, a Ph.D student are working on a software tool that can measure how much fashion and beauty images have been edited and or altered. Many celebrities try to make themselves a so called perfect model type, with a great figure and most of the time that can encourage many magazine readers to either look like them and or try to lose a ton of weight or get there face done over like the celebrities do like getting a face lift or implants which can ruin the body many times. Also I think that the software is a great use of technology because it can tell you the percentage of how much editing was done in the photo and you will and can discover all of the work that goes into just one frontpage magazine. Maybe the new piece of software will allow magazie readers and the common people to realize that nobody is completely perfect and that we all have flaws some might be more noticeble than others but everyone even celebrities have flaws and the software will allow the common people to see the truth about the real them and not a photoshopped image. So before you destroy your body trying to make the perfect you think back on all the editing that was done to celebrities in order to make them the so call perfect image.

"Ipad"

The article"In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an Ipad" was about how the company Apple has unsafe manufacturing facilities and how because of having too much aluminum dust it caused many hazardous fires which killed and injured many. Even though Apple makers say that they are going to change their code of conduct they never put it into action. Many workers of Apple manufactures in China experienced one of the deadly fires. Aluminum fires in Indiana killed 14 people. Many company owners do not care about the living conditions they put there workers and also they pay them entirely too cheap and the company owners do not care that they pay there workers lower than minimum wage. Theyhave these under paid workers in these deadly working envirnments, with dangerous machinery and many times if not used correctly or the machines get a glitch the workers either die or get severely injurev which is dangerous.

"Cracking Teenagers"

In the article "Cracking Teenagers' Online Codes." by Pamela Paul was about letting teenagers be more free in the world and that parents not be so overprotected. I totally agree with Pamela Paul because parents nowadays are so protective. Parents know for a fact that when they were younger that they had more freedom than what they give us. Many teens are starting to rebel because there parents are too protective and they feel as though that if that they explore the world that they would be more happy. Even though parents know best most of the time sometimes parents think they know a little too much , and sometimes they should allow us teens to be a little free.

Teens throwing Tattoo parties

Many teens nowadays are throwing tattoo parties. There are teens over the whole entire world that are throwing tattos parties. Such as my friend had a tatto party. I'm kinda happy i didn't go to the party because I didn't know if the guy that was throwing the tatto party had clean needles. I don't think that teens throwing tattoo party's because you never know if they use the same needles or if they dispose old needles.

Teaching Kids How to Breakup Nicely

In the article "Teaching Kids How to Breakup nicely" it was mainly about cyber dumping on social networking websites. Many teens encounter cyber breakups. There was many quotes to explain different kinds of details in the article. One quote that stood out to me was when a teenage boy said " when I'm done with a relationship, I'm not going to wait a day or even ten minutes to update my status," "when its over its over. I'm done with you." I was totally shocked with that comment because I would've thought he would've been more sympathetic than to be so rude and disrespectful. I think that this topic was very on point with teen relationships nowadays. Many teens go through bad breakups over social networks, which is very mean because it seems like the people they break-up with, want to destroy and embarrassed them which is not right.

Biggest Story Of 2011

Same sex marriage became legal in New York. Many gay couples crowded around with their significant other at the Empire State building. Many of them sported rainbow pieces of clothing to showoff their sexuality. I totally disagree with the whole matter but it is too late for me to give my opinion because it has already made it legal. On the other hand many "couples" agree with the fact that they can marry and can be even considered as a married "couples." I also disagree that same sex marriage should even be allowed to adopt. I say this because I dont like the fact that same sex "coupes" are allowed to bring a child in there "family" and live be able to live a life that is ungodly. For so for many gay and lesbian couples this is a breakthrough but for me its an abomination.

THE PRICE OF PEANUT BUTTER

The price of peanut butter is going up sky high. This is redicoulouse for only a 12 oz jar of peanut butter it is going up to 4.00 are you serious come on that is way to much money to be buying peanut butter. People all in my family are complaining about the price of peanut butter. Just like my mom my mom is crazy about how the price of peanut butter is going up sky high. I picked to write about this article because i love peanut butter an if peanut butter keeps on going up the way it is going there will not be ay more peanut butter for me because it is getting to high and i will not buy it any more. Also i found this interesting to write about because the first time i watched this on t.v i was like o.m.g i was shocked that the price of peanut butter was going up. I asked a couple of people what do they think of this and they said this is crazy. The only reason why the price of peanut butter is going up so high is that there are a lot of people that are buying peanut butter and there is a lot of people that enjoy peanut butter as much as i do. Also another reason why i found this topic intresting to write about is i love to at and when i heard my favorite snack was going up i was in shock.

Plan B

I think the "Plan B" plan should be passed through. I say this because I would much rather girls or teens use a birth control, than having pregnant children or teens running around. I disagree with Sebelius who thinks that the plan should not be passed through . Even though I can understand where she is coming from     I also think that its there business on what they take into there body.
